How to Draw Star Wars with JakeJAKe Detonator is an official illustrator for both Lucasfilm and Doctor Who.
In his very interactive and lively workshop, JAKe will show you how to draw your favourite characters from the Star Wars universe, including Droids, Wookies, Bounty Hunters and more, just like in his books How To Speak Wookiee, How To Speak Droid with R2-D2 and How To Speak Astromech with BB-8. Linocut Printing with Brambledown DesignsStep into a world of fantasy and folklore with this hands‑on linocut printing workshop, led by Symon - a wonderful experienced artist. Using a selection of beautifully pre‑carved lino blocks inspired by popular characters and themes, you’ll create your own unique print to take home.
The session begins with a short demonstration explaining how linocut printing works, before you choose a design, ink it up, and print it by hand. No experience is needed — just creativity and a willingness to get a little inky! Finished prints will be left to dry and can be collected later in the day. wand Making with Red CapeCalling all Wizards, Witches and Warlocks (Muggles allowed too)!
Join us to create your very own custom designer wand. Begin by choosing a base wand, then personalise it with your own upgrades and details to craft a unique magical tool ready for any adventure. This workshop is quick, creative, and suitable for all experience levels. Materials are provided, and drying stations will be available so your finished wand can be collected later once complete. Fantasy Book ClubJoin us for an intimate, free‑to‑book book‑club‑style session with our guest authors. Each session offers something a little different — from informal chats about writing and world‑building, to open Q&A, to optional short readings chosen by the author on the day.
With limited spaces available, these relaxed mini‑events are a great chance to connect with fantasy writers in a small‑group setting and explore the stories, ideas, and creative journeys behind their work. These small‑capacity events are free to attend but require advance booking. character Meet and GreetsMeet your favourite characters throughout the weekend at Capital Sci-Fi Con!
